| so gave it a go for the first time about 15 mins ago used a bleach raw that was downloaded a few days ago I have no clue if i got anywhere close to what the levels should be they just looked nice and clear so I went with it and the tutorial i was following stated that text outside of the bubbles were the typesetters job so i didn't mess with them and here's attempt number 1 I'll do another real fast EDIT: I'll fix it real fast but just realized the black isn't suppose to look like that will burn it in a few Afterwards Before |

| Good job for a first attempt, but the filter you used on it distorted the image and made it look weird overall. Good job on leveling the whites. For the blacks, instead of a filter you should use the burn tool to darken it.
Also in regards to the text. Usually we cleaners(editors) redraw that. In this case it's mostly repatterning. Use either the clone tool or zoom in until you can see what makes up the pattern, then copy and paste sections of the pattern over where the text is. (For people starting out I'd say use the clone tool)
And on the blacks and white areas just brush over where the text is. Then you can use the pentool to redraw lines.
If none of this made sense feel free to wait for someone else to respond lol. |

| Are you using an Anisotropic diffusion or something on it? or some kind of filter? I mean the image has a weird finish to it. The patterns are distorted. |

| K, well I'll leave this to demon, the actual head of the editing department lol, I'm busy typesetting and I'll try my hand at one of those raws. But in the meantime, take a look at the first page Bottom panel. The blacks have that weird pattern on it. |

| yeah it's because i didn't burn them xD its 2 am didn't realize they aren't suppose to be like that till after i posted it here just burned it but after I burn the blacks it makes the images look pixelated so i guess blur edges will be coming into play :'( |

| mmm, well I don't usually use denoise for anything as big as that. But yeah, you have to be selective with what you burn. Anyways, good luck with the test demon gives you, I could give you it but I don't think I'm authorized to do that lol.
And don't be like me, GET SOME SLEEP. |

| Practice is always good. Oh and a heads up, to practice for the test you have to be able to redraw. So either practice redrawing some SFX and text one some pages, or find a split page and stitch it together one way or another.
If demon isn't on in the next little while I'll post up the test for you. |

| Hmm... it looks decent I think u used is too much strength for denoise but yea theres not much we can do with that image Theres another way I can think of but its too time consuming Try practicing more on redrawing sfx since its more common in this group |

| Well, depending on what series he wants to help out on, we can first give him demon's GTO split page test. Then have him practice on the series' raws. |

| No worries, as long as you have an eye for what looks decent, you should do fine. It's just about having the patience to get it right. Piece the pages back together. Leave a white space in between since there's a part missing (lost while scanning). Line it up and just redraw it the best you can. Other than that it's pretty straight forward. Good luck - Code:

| The re-drawing at the top is a little smudged, and watch the patterning on the hand. Besides that it's great. I can't admit you to the team, but just wait until either Tran Linh, Demon, Rakan, or Zetto take a look. Best of luck. |
