First one is really good, just watch out for the tone shading that you can see on the first guys shoulder, goes from a tone to straight black, other than that it's really good.

Second one, that's pretty much what I wanted as there's not to much you can do with scans that are that shitty unless you want to pour hours into each page.

Although only problem with the second one is that you could select the background color more often when using the brush tool in order to decrease the drastic change in shades.
