| Dell Dimension 8200 -512mb RAM -x2 40GB HDDs -1.80ghz P4 Dell Dimension 4550 -756mb? (approx.) RAM -60GB HDD -2.0ghz P4 don't think either has PCI... So thats about all I know. I only have one power cable and wanna set one up for the hell of it. 1. Which is the better machine. 2. Can I take out one of the HD's from the 8200 and put it in the 4550? 3. Can I take the 8200's RAM and put it in the 4550? I wonder if it'l handle photoshop after a reformat |

| 1/ 8200's better 2/ and 3/ not interesting anyway, that wouldn't do any good nor give your computer any real boost. Unless you want to sell the remaining ones?
It will handle Photoshop ^^ (Sorry ,I'm in a rush right now :p) |

| Well, the only reason for the HD's is for more memory right? (I doub't they are even worth $5 lol)
Oh yeah, the power supply I have is for the 4550 but it should be ok for the 8200 right..
And even though the main specs are lower on the 8200 its still better? Is it because of the motherboard or something? idkkk |

| :O Hmm... LOL they both look horrible (at least compared to my cousins) ummm... seems like the 8200 seems better slighty so go for it but no matter what you should upgrade
my comp specs (not trying to brag): -2 GB RAM (memory) -1.5 TB HDD (yes I put a lot porn) -Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT (this helps A LOT with comp performance) -Intel Core 2 Duo 3.00ghz (crappy processor)
well pretty much listed what its made of |

| I may not beat you in uber HDD size, but 8GB RAM 2x 500GB HDD GFX: ATI Radeon HD5830 Intel Quad Core Q6600 Be sure to spend over $600, that's actually what this machine cost before I upgraded the graphics card. |

| @rue lol can't tell, don't have your motherboard or power supply specs.
Ie: spend money on a GOOD powersupply ie a corsair ax650 or ax850 650watt or 850watt to upgrade processors you'll need to upgrade your motherboard your graphics is good if your hdd is 5400rpm (cause it's a 1TB drive) get a 7200rpm or a 10000rpm drive hell if you have the money get an SSD ($200-300)
can't tell much about your ram, don't know the mhz it is (ie: 800mhz, 1333mhz, 1600mhz, 2000mhz, etc...)
Also if you're looking to upgrade the processor take a look at the new intel i5 2500k they're very nice for the price. |

| Mobo: Gigabyte GA-770TA-UD3 My boot drive is a WD caviar black(7200RPM), my 1.5 storage is a green.
I'd have to open up my comp to check my PSU, so that'll wait for now. 669MHz ram lul. |

| It's probably that 669MHz is what your computer is running at, not what speed the RAM is. You should be able to change the frequency in your BIOS. |

| hmm, could be. I just read that most of these programs show what the comp is running(like you said), so it's usually 2x what the reading shows. I'll have to figure out how to do that later |

| Pretty much, though it could be the reader. I've got 1333MHz DDR3 RAM, but it's read at 667. |
