Lolz, no need to rush, as I said, I'm on my laptop right now at Uni, won't be back home for another 5 hrs. And even then, I think I'll be too brain dead to do anything other than watch Gintama Take your time, as I said, I intend to start ch27 of GTO tmr, and even then I don't need to use the filter. It's only that it would have help me make Rakan's sig slightly cleaner had I had the filter, save me from doing 18layers.

Lolz, this is important for you DS. Saving as PNG means better quality and smaller files. Of course since it's black and white, we can lower the quality as well.

I don't think I've ever used the filter in a vid :/

its a click and done filter, set the paramiters to what you like, zoom in on the preview image to see results and change the two levers until you like it, something like 5-10 8-15 looks pretty good its up to you though.

only if you need to do so. If the image can be fixed with levels then just use levels, if you need to burn there's a tutorial or two in the tutorial folder

That is the level window, but i usualy only mess with the black not the grey or white and each page is different, and that raw u have is a really bad one =(

its easier for me to look at, so send me the before on a layer and the after on a layer,
ctrl + a then ctrl + shift + j then drag the new layer onto the page icon at the bottom of the layers tab. and it should duplicate it. Edit the duplicate not the original. then PM the image to me, I'll check back in 10-15min

K so pretty much the dark end (left hand side)should be around 8-10 sometimes less just so it's dark but not too dark, you have to judge by yourself, if its way too off people notice but a little off they don't.
the light end (right hand side)should be slightly past the spike. OR if there are any speech bubbles, zoom in on them and increase the white until the bubble is ALMOST COMPLETELY pure white
for Higanjima I find the grey at .80 looks pretty good :/ but that's just me
