Hi guys! I started reading [ Love So Life ] recently and got here through the website you showed..
As the thread title says I'm interested to be translator...
- chinese/english : i have confidence
- japanese/english: I'm still slowly learning japanese... in a very snail speed!

I can't find any threads for applcation so just post here hope i didnt post at the wrong place.. if that is so.. gomenasai!!

anyway.. just a brief background of myself...
got hooked onto manga for the first time more than 5 years ago.. been reading mangas since then. all sorts.. as long as the summary interests me not sure if it is allowed.. but I am currently a translator (chinese-english) in another group.. does it matter? >__< learnt japanese 4 years ago.. went through 4 basic courses but forgot everything (or what they called "return everything you learnt back to the teacher").. I learnt chinese and english in school since they are mandatory..

It's not "so I suck", its more along the lines of "so I can't help with translations".
And languages... I've got to start learning Japanese so I can read the comics my brother plans to bring back from Japan LOL.
+ Mandarin is a good language to know for business over here in North America, between the shipping companies and the new wealthy immigrants, knowing Mandarin wouldn't hurt.

btw Tran what do you usually give as tests for translators?
a manga w/o any translations but the raws are out?
or like an essay of that language?
