I found Linh lurking in some other forum saying that he needed a typesetter for GTO Shonan. I know all the basic photoshop tricks. Never done any typesetting though, but how hard can it be. Be looking forward to your support. Lets get this show (or manga ) on the road.

Wow, it takes a lot longer than I though. I initially planned it to be done in 15mins tops, lolz, takes about as long as to make a sig. I guess I'll improve with time. Here's a pic of my results. I made some changes to the wording, if you don't like it, tell me, I'll change it back. had me a tad confused intially about the placement of the words, but I think I get it now, should take me a lot shorter next time round.

If you notice the text above the center top girl, It needs to be erased and then written over, A.K.A. a redraw. To do this you use a mixture of the clone tool, and the patch tool. as well as some other small Things to make it look better.
The words the needed redrawing were "Kyaaa-"
and where you put Kyaa should be "Whatttt-----!!"

Just wondering?
Did you adjust the levels of the image? because it looks extremely dark to me. Please don't mess with the levels unless you are cleaning the chapter. This one was already cleaned

You can make changes to the script as long as it fits the situation and you think it'll make more sense to english readers.

Hell even I do
the Translation King of games WhiteSwan Me!! (and I was actually given this in the script) I made major changes (it makes no sense) to I am the King of the WhiteSwan game.

So overall you did very well for your first time.
I gave you a hard page (hardest one I've seen so far) because I figured the Kyaaa would throw you off.(It took me 5-10minutes of trial and error to figure out the top part)
GTO is a very demanding manga for typesetting but I'm sure you'll do fine.

I didn't change the darkness or anything. It just came out that way after I saved it as JPG, at 12 quality. Lolz, I didn't get what you meant by the Kyaaa part, and i couldn't see the glasses dude, so I assumed the big shout bubble was for it. I was going to do that * thing for splatters as you did, but decided not to. I guess I should have, would have made things a lot quicker too.

Nevermind looking back that was my bad I ctrl + e 'd my files and it took a color burn and applied it to everything.... accidentally thus making it darker

actually, that was good for a first time. the only things you'll need to keep in mind is text size, positioning, and spacing. all of which you'll work on as you keep typesetting. lastly, about our translator. he isn't fluent in english so if you want to change something go ahead and then mention your changes.

for those 3 smallest bubbles, instead of splatter. i would use splat to fit the bubble. i know splat is singular and splatter is pural. not sure if it works the same in japanese.

well, first, i'm no leader, we all are helping each other. Seriously, i'm just doing my job as a typical translator and sometimes a recruiter.
second, my personal opinion is not that professional as Zetto or DemonSpawn or CM, I'm just a simple translator so if i'm wrong , please forgive me . I'll say that it's pretty good for a first timer, ChaosMaster, really. I especially like the part about the six bubbles "splatter" in the up panel. And the way you lined up the "kyaaa~" thing does fit that tall bubble (even though the text is wrong...well, can't help it since some demon set you up! <---this is not a word play on anyone!! ). "Me" in bold is noticeable and that's what made it great!. Finally, the font for different characters are in different types...You have good sense of typesetting...I think it's not just me but everyone else will be very happy if you work with us
For the time being, the chapter 26 GTO: shonan 14 days is being cleaned, I'm afraid that you can't begin the work immediately (yep, it sucks having to wait for those cleaning pages) so why don't you try typesetting a full chapter of Higanjima (chapter 50 or 51 or some other chapters?) I think the translation and cleaned pages for them are ready to be of use! Or you want, you can wait to work with GTO: 14 days (but I think you should take the first choice since you will gain some more experiences working with a real chapter).

I don't mind starting on Higanjima (I haven't read the story though.) Maybe give me a few pages to start off with. I'll work on it in my free time.
