Hi, for a while now I've wanted to redo GTO in HQ because the current scanlation is so horrible. I looked at the raws and they were pre-rendered 1200px with pretty bad quality (imo).

So I figured I would need some practice before starting and it would take 3-6 weeks for the tanks to arrive anyway. When they finally arrived last week I started looking for potential translators, or at least a proofreaders for the current TLs; and then cmertb told me about XscansX and how you're interested in the same thing.

I have the first 8 tanks but no scanner, I would have bought one this week but since the project was stalled I decided to wait, will order one as soon as this project kicks off.

I'm not very experienced but I have been the editor(clean+ts) for maybe 6-10 chapters, and I'm very patient when it comes to cleaning, my biggest flaw is TSing and the fact that I'm fairly new to scanlation so I may not always notice obvious things.

Hi nice to see you here, i do been wanting to do this i seriously held off finishing GTO for several months because of the colored bubble crap that drove me nuts, id be more than willing to help you with this also but we are still waiting on word from a few more people if we will do this or not

Anyways, we are on a dire need of editor right now, especially typesetter. Would you mind if you help us typesetting a few chapters of some of our manga? It can help you increase your experience and will be a good way to get along with other members before we actually get into doing GTO (which I anticipate that, GTO and Shounan Junai can start operating in March if we have enough people (our number now (30) is not enough

I guess we will be doing some serious recruitment soon.

Yes, although I joined for GTO I'm okay with doing other things on the side as well. I'm in the middle of a chapter right now but should be done later tonight.

I can take an editor test or show some of my previous work if you want, just tell me what.

I'm from Europe so our timezones will quite likely be different, but I'm always online on IRC and will check the forum several times per day

Sorry I've been really busy with editing for E-A, I did the first image more then a week ago and then kinda got overwhelmed with work, I can do the second image as well, but I included some other psd's instead, because it's so boring to work on a spread page that won't be used for any release.

Although Im not the grader for this test... you should at least try more even if its not going to be released

So... a few tips...
the shoulder is a bit off... and the knife is missing a section
Both of these arent big problems but it can be noticeable
also.. Im understand that ur busy but these mistakes only take less than a min to fix

Yeah I know it wasn't perfect, if it was for a release I would have fixed the knife, the shoulder, made the pattern under the questionmark bubble a little less repeating.

As I said I really don't feel motivated to try and make pages perfect if they aren't gonna be released. I figured it was "good enough to pass a test", I've already done other editor/cleaning tests, and it's always pretty annoying pages which takes me as long as 2-4 regular pages.

But sure, I took a few minutes to touched up the picture anyway, since I got done cleaning my chapter for E-A and it's 2am

any mistakes I would try to fix it even if it means I have to redo it again

So any news about GTO? Is the project still planned to start in March, and what about the psd's I posted; I need to know if I can take on any big projects from other groups or if I should count on starting something here.

_ Kamen Teacher, cleaning the last two chapters. Omake 1 & 2. Please go to that project sector and see if you can help us clean Omake 1 or 2 or both.
_ Higanjima typesetting. Heck, it's a mess now. The translation is up quite far away, but the two typesetters are not fast enough to keep up with the pace. You should read the manga before typesetting it then.
and hell, a lot of our series need cleaners and typesetters.
But the above two are the most needed.

I'm okay with helping out to TS but reading 62 chapters would take me forever if I'm not into the manga, I never read it so I can't say if I'd enjoy it or not though.
