Anyone here have a daily routine they do?

I've recently lost about 30 pounds due to unfortunate circumstances.
Lost all my muscle, and dropped most of my fat.

I think I should at least try to get back into shape if I wanna play soccer with my friends again.

I don't feel like going to a health forum just for this. So, anyone know anything simple to do?

If it's to play soccer then do skipping, it's far better than it sounds and is an amazing cardio workout. Works your calfs and lungs too, and you won't get a much more simple workout than skipping. Only 5-15 minutes a day.
Weights really won't help you in soccer lol, I'm a rugby player by stature but I prefer soccer

Thanks, I'll go dig out the skipping rope tomorrow then.
I guess working up my time from 5 minutes to 10 through a week would be my best bet.

Before I started I looked into it, some people say to start at 5 minutes a day for a week or so and go up until you reach 15. You won't feel too tired after your first session, but after a day or so your calfs will ache, especially if you haven't played soccer for a while.
Also if you're trying to lose weight do it in the morning before eating, but by the sound of it that isn't your aim.

Lol naw, not my aim at all. I was 200 pounds before, 170 pounds or a bit less now.
Though I guess I could do it before breakfast since I usually eat breakfast around 10am.... lol.

+ I'll have to find out what I can do with a kettleball.
It's mostly my thighs and Calf muscles i need to build up. So maybe squats? not sure.

Squats are good, but make sure you stretch quads and calfs before skipping or doing squats, having your quads seize up while doing a squat (especially with weights) is crippling lol.
Try lunges too, good for stretching and working your quads.

alright. And do you know anything for strengthening core muscles? I know lunges are supposed to help with them, but anything else?

Plenty of ab workouts, all work your core, but I personally prefer leg raises (whatever they're called, lie on your back and raise feet/legs 6 inches off the ground and hold). I think some Lat workouts help, but yeah, mostly just work your abs. Also do side-crunches to target your outer abs.
Best thing is you can do heavy ab workouts daily, the only muscle group where that isn't discouraged.

Ah, then definitely try the leg raises and also the "bridge" I think it's called.

ohh, I think our gym teacher called that the bench. Same thing.

Thanks for the advice. Time to write up a schedule and stick to it.

I haven't done any exercise lately and I don't wanna get fat =.=

Lol no worries, I used to be heavily into weights then stopped (couple of pretty bad injuries, also bad heart). Skipping is great for keeping the weight off; I started in preparation for the soccer season, lost 5 kilos over the month without really trying.

hmm i used to play Baseball before suffering from a Glenoid Labral Tear 5 years ago which forced me to stop baseball, used to to do 200 sit-ups and 30-minute runs every morning before school and another 30 minute after school before training, used to do some hand stand push-ups too...

@Rue: you weigh 170... am i malnourished? i only weigh 110.. Sad

@rue: gah i thought your around my height or something, i'm only 5'7 (kinda forgot that we Japs have a small frame than other dudes) but still i'm underweight... any tips??

hmm, weighing less is actually better lol. But muscle weighs more than fat. So I guess bulk up? I envy you = = being light.

And hey, I'm half japanese, so you can't use that as an excuse lol.

Also for weight gain, eating 5-6 smaller meals rather than 3 big ones could help, my mom keeps telling me to do that since she wants me to gain weight again lol.
