Detached nails. lmao I've seen it many times mainly because my nails kept getting bumped on my shoes and got detached from my toes frequently. My mom thought I had blood problems rofl. Hmm it'll take about 1 to 1 1/2 months for it to look normal again x.x

My left thumb is exactly in the same state, but that's because I overdid some finger training

nope
finger training is really just finger training (like doing push up on your thumbs alone), or handstands on your fingers (instead of your palms). Nothing like fingering ^^

It probably won't happen; even after the stitches come out tomorrow I have to keep it bandaged (I lost some skin, so if I don't keep it bandaged there's a risk of infection).
It doesn't look too bad now anyway. It would have been best to get a picture just after it happened, when it was still in two pieces.

Well, it would've been a crappy pic with my phone, unless I bypassed the hospital stay and went home instead. I guess I was too busy losing blood and being in shock to get my priorities straight

sucks about your finger. Post a pic lol, I should try to find my friends xray copy pic of his hand, when his finger was in 2 pieces hanging by a thread. He kinda got what he deserved tho, you dont go using a band saw when your high on e, meth, smoked alot of weed and was also completely drunk. But sounds like you still got treated better, cause when he cut his hand/finger he fell, ened up getting rocks and gravel on and into the wound, so at the hospital after hes almost passed out from blood loss, the doctor applies some stuff to freeze the nerves in his hand so the nurse can scrub his finger. She was supposed to wait 10-15 mins ended up she started as soon as the doctor left, meanwhile friend is telling her he can feel this (the drugs and weed are wearing off) she says its just his immagination you stoner, well the doctor hears his screams of pain comes in and looses it on the nurse. So what happened to the person who crushed your finger lol

Alright, last night my finger was itching like hell, so I took off the bandages. My finger looks much better than it did before, and the blood drying has caused part of the coating to stick to where my nail was reattached (also hindering your view), so this is about the best I can do right now:

Okay, I went to my GP again today. As it turns out, the wound is infected.
When I was discharged from the hospital not only did they fail to give me medical documents to pass onto my GP, they also failed to prescribe me with the antibiotics that I was supposed to be taking since being discharged.
That means longer recovery time, my nail is rotting at the flesh (If I had been given antibiotics there was a change it could reattach, or so they told me), and even longer until I can play sport again.
...Damn.
